Intro & New Features

CCM’s next shift in focus for 2025 is in the new Jetspeed FT8 protective line. The Jetspeed FT8 gear puts emphasis on breathability and mobility, which means much of the new tech found in the gear will be light, discreet, and designed to keep you cool. The FT8 elbow pads feature an Aer-Tec Thermoregulation system, a 3-piece flexmotion design, and an Aer-Tec Suspension System.

Construction

The FT8 elbow pad has a three-piece Flexmotion design, which allows the pads to contour around and follow your arm’s movement while you play. This, in effect, makes the pads more comfortable and protective, as they can cover more of your arm without being too restrictive. The big selling point is the Aer-Tec Thermoregulation System that’s been implemented in each part of the highest-end variation. This system includes an Aer-Tec Suspension System and additional ventilation, which holds the pads a little bit away from your body for maximum aeration, allowing you to stay cool and dry.

Bicep Protection

The biceps are protected and covered with a floating bicep pad and has been reinforced with PE Plastic. This design provides high-caliber coverage around the bicep area and the soft sublimated liner allows for competitive-level protection and comfort.

Forearm Protection

To protect the forearms, CCM added a reinforced HD foam guard to provide an elite-level forearm guard that is made up of compress-molded HD foam to provide the highest level of protection. The Aer-Tec suspension system provides ventilation and aids airflow to help keep you cool and dry.

Elbow Cap

The FT8 elbow pads feature a molded PE cap with a JDP construction. The JDP elbow cap is designed to disperse impact force away from the elbow joint plus a reinforced exposed EVA foam cover for even more protection. The premium sublimated lining and donut hole allow for a comfortable feel.

Strapping System

To attach the elbow pad, the FT8’s feature a flexible middle lock strap with an elastic reinforcement to securely keep the elbow pads in place and close to the body. The Nylon forearm strap attaches across the forearm, locking the protection in place and not allowing for any unwanted movements.

Liner

The pads use a sublimated liner in the elbow area, coupled with the Aer-Tec Suspension System, which keeps the pads away from your body for better ventilation throughout.
