Warrior Ritual G6 Pro+ Senior Goalie Catcher

Warrior Ritual G6 Pro+ Senior Goalie Catcher

Intro & New Features

The next installment of Warrior’s Ritual goalie gear series is finally here; the Ritual G6 Pro+ leg pads look to bring a solid combination of what you already liked in previous models, as well as some new tech. Features include Airslide 3.0, CoverEDGE+, HyperComp Reinforcement in the thigh rise, and a redesigned outer roll.

External Material

Airslide 3.0 is an upgraded form of the previous Airslide seen in older Warrior leg pad models. It’s a polycarbonate slide plate structured specifically to increase sliding performance by lessening friction along the surface throughout the entire game. The knee landing has a removable and replaceable plate to achieve that sliding performance. On the G6, this tech has been reset to the ideal trajectory to perform just as well on rough, third period ice.

Internal Construction

Warrior brings back the Hypercomp composite configuration coupled with a more rigid thigh rise. This reinforcement is made up of carbon fibre and is designed to enhance durability while helping a bit with rebound responsiveness. The previous G5 had a thinner, softer thigh rise, which is not the case here— Hypercomp has been made more rigid to give you full control of the pad while lessening that trampoline effect on rebounds. The pads additionally have been made much lighter than their predecessors.

Pad Break

The G6 Pro+ continues to use CoverEDGE+ technology, which is a forward-lean design that creates a better angle when challenging the shot. The outer roll has also been optimized to allow you to hug the post better, which in turn would make for a better seal in both the RVH and butterfly positions.

Boot Angle & Toe Taper

The toe box on the G6 Pro+ is removable as desired. In response to some feedback Warrior had received from the previous G5, they have lengthened the Active Response toe and bootstraps to help with recovery, particularly in the hips and knees.

Knee Cradle

For better control, the pads use a combination of Warrior’s 360TriFit leg channel and a contoured shape. The semi-built-in knee block returns from previous Ritual models, which is stiffer for a more stable knee landing. The knee cradle on the G6 is adjustable.

Strapping

The pads use Slingwrap knee and calf straps and have included an additional calf strap for a better anchor and greater connection to the leg. They also allow for more customization with some extra strappings and slits along the channel.

Colors, Sizes & Customization

The Warrior G6 Pro+ Senior leg pads come in sizes 32+1.5, 33+1.5, 34+1.5, 35+1.5, and 36+1.5 in the following colourways: Black, White, White/Black, White/Black/Red, White/Red, and White/Royal.
