The external shell of the Rekker Morph 1 hockey pants are made up of 840D nylon, which is the same material seen on many other high-end hockey pants. This grade of Nylon is highly abrasion-resistant and one of the toughest fabric-weave combinations available. It is also very light for its efficiency and durability.
Thigh Protection
The thighs are protected with expandable thigh gussets. They have CIP (Customizable Impact Protection), which has a zipper with an option for an extra inch in length extension, so players can achieve a fit that is tailored to their needs. The foam pads on the thighs are designed to keep players' impacts, reducing the chance of injuries.
Hip & Kidney Protection
The hip and kidney are protected with Nitrex foam, which is used on nearly all of Sherwood's player protective gear. Nitrex foam is a shock mitigating foam that is engineered to withstand even the toughest of impacts. Nitrex is also lightweight and flexible, allowing players to not feel restricted in their movements.
Spine Protection
The spine and tailbone area is protected with Nitrex foam. The durable, shock absorbing foam is designed to keep players protected while also providing a low-profile. The padding disperses force away from players, reducing any chance of injury, while also being extremely lightweight, not compromising mobility.
Liner
Sherwood included their Microban liner, which is an antimicrobial coating built to combat odor-causing bacteria. This liner is also implemented to wick away moisture, which keeps the players dry and cool while on the ice.
