The Sherwood Morph 1 Hockey Shin Guards are designed for players who want to bring quickness, deceptiveness, and precision to their game. They are built for the player looking to have equipment that protects them, without affecting their ability on the ice.
Shin Protection
The shins are protected using a hard, durable plastic outer shell. This design has high impact resistance, which allows players to be protected when absorbing impacts. The anatomical fit is designed to wrap around the player's leg, providing 360-degree coverage. This shin guard also features anatomical isolated zones, which maintain a level of protection by stretching to fit the players anatomy and movements.
Knee Cap & Protection
The knee is protected using Customizable Impact Protection. This design allows players to remove a liner of padding, to have more room for mobility, or to keep it in and have an extra layer of padding. Inside the knee area there is also Nitrex foam, which is shock mitigating foam that is engineered to absorb impacts and keep players protected. Sherwood also included an abrasion guard which is designed to increase durability and decrease wear in key areas.
Calf Protection
Throughout the calf, Sherwood included the use of Nitrex foam to keep players protected. Nitrex is a shock mitigating foam, meaning that it is designed to absorb impacts, and disperse force away, allowing players to be protected and safe while on the ice.
Liner
The shin guards are lined with a microban liner. This antimicrobial coating is designed to combat odor-causing bacteria and keep the gear fresh. The liner is also built to absorb moisture and wick away wetness, keeping players dry and cool while on the ice.
Strapping
The Morph 1 shin guards feature a dual strapping system, this means that there are two straps that allows players to have a feel and fit that they desire. The upper strap securely locks in the top portion of the shin guard, while the calf strap wraps around the leg and attaches to a velcro landing, keeping all the padding in place.
