The new second-highest price point in the Jetspeed line for 2022 is the new Jetspeed FT5 stick, engineered for the player who just wants to do it all. The FT5 combines various technologies and materials from previous pro-level CCM sticks to create a high-performing hybrid stick. Tech of note includes a Sigmatex spread tow carbon weave, advanced carbon matrix construction, an RR-90 blade, and a Skeleton+ taper.
Stick Flex Profile
Created by CCM specifically to define its Jetspeed line, the hybrid kick point is a close cousin of the mid kick and was made for players who cover a variety of positions across the ice. This stick is a true jack-of-all-trades design that flexes along the shaft depending on your hand position and adapts to the play; whether you need a low or mid kick flex point, the hybrid kick point has your back. This kick point acts as a hinge to empower your shots when loading.
Shaft Construction & Stiffness
The Advanced Carbon Matrix is a performance-level carbon layering construction that combines seamlessly with the returning Sigmatex Spread Tow to create a tougher, lighter stick. The stick also continues to use a round “R” geometry to blend a traditional feel with enhanced grip and control.
Blade Construction
The RR-90 blade is still used on high-end Jetspeed sticks, offering a great balance between stability and pop thanks to the Damp-Core and Peel-ply laminate in conjunction with the Sigmatex Spread Tow carbon weave. The stick uses a Skeleton+ taper for greater hosel strength just when you need it.
Grip
The FT5 uses a tactile grip with ribbed corners to make it easy to hold and control.
Graphics
Sticking with the classic colouring of the Jetspeed line, the FT5 stick comes in black and gray colouring with a red logo and accents. The “Jetspeed” text logo itself has evolved to have a cleaner, more visible look.
