CCM Jetspeed Control Junior Hockey Stick - (2023)

CCM Jetspeed Control Junior Hockey Stick - (2023)

Intro & New Features

The CCM Jetspeed Control Junior Hockey Stick is a Source Exclusive item developed to provide the best value by pulling design features from higher-end models and incorporating them into a performance level package.

Stick Flex Profile

The Jetspeed Control stick uses a hybrid kickpoint, which combines the benefit of both a low and high kick point. It is designed to provide a quick release for wrist and snap shots, while also delivering more power for slap shots. The hybrid kick point is achieved by using a combination of carbon fibers with different flex properties in the lower and upper parts of the shaft. The lower part of the shaft uses stiffer carbon fibers, creating a low kick point for quick releases. The upper part of the shaft uses more flexible carbon fibers, creating a higher kick point for increased power and accuracy on slap shots.

Shaft Construction

The shaft of the Jetspeed Control uses a rounded "R" geometry, which is intended to provide a more comfortable and natural grip and a better feel for the player compared to traditional "T" geometry. This shape is also designed to reduce air resistance when in use, increasing shot speed and accuracy.

Blade Construction & Stiffness

This stick uses a JS4 blade with a Peel-Ply finish for overall great puck control and stick feel. The JS4 blade features a hybrid heel construction, which is a combination of a traditional heel and modern taper. This helps to provide a balance between stiffness and flex, allowing for greater accuracy and control when shotting and passing. Peel-Ply is a surface finish intended to reduce weight and increase consistency in the material. The blade uses an 18K weave for good durability and responsiveness.

Graphics

The graphics keep to the modern Jetspeed text look, but have changed throughout; the Control, in particular, is dark at the bottom and gets lighter at the top, with a white upper portion of the shaft. The Jetspeed logo is red, in addition to some accents, and the carbon weave is visible from the blade up to the white paint job.

Grip

The grip on the Control is a raised FT Microfeel grip between the middle and lower portion of the shaft to ensure perfect control when playing.

Blade Patterns, Flex & Stick Length

The CCM Jetspeed Control Junior Hockey Stick comes in the following blade patterns: P28 and P29.

P28 is a much more aggressive stick pattern, used often by elite players. This blade curve specializes in quick and accurate shots, but it can be a bit difficult to get used to since it is also very good at raising the puck.

P29 is the best blade pattern for all-around play, with a mid-curve style. It is great at handling the puck in small spaces, including face-offs. This curve may suffer a little bit on the backhand.
