Within the paddle and blade is foam urethane, to establish the foam core. The paddle is reinforced with 21 ends of 12K carbon, and then covered in a .45mm glass laminate on the shooter side. Lastly, the blade is covered in a 19.2oz woven glass cloth that acts as a skin.
