The Brian's ECLIPSE Senior Goalie Catcher is a high-level catcher designed for goalies. Designed to be lightweight and durable, this catcher features a game ready palm for an easier break-in, a floating wrist cuff, and a smart dial strapping system. This catcher is designed to provide protection in all key areas, while being durable and lightweight.
Break Angle
This catcher features a 45 degree break angle. It features a deep, one-piece cuff and is known for its ability to trap pucks. 45 degree break angles are designed to have a closure that happens directly between the index finger and the thumb. It is best for goalies who prefer snapping the glove shut and trapping the puck.
Cuff Design
The ECLIPSE catcher features a one-piece floating wrist cuff. This design offers maximum wrist mobility and a modern aesthetic. Combined with the floating cuff, this design gives goalies unrestricted movement when reaching or deflecting, helping them react quickly to any shot angle.
Pocket Design
Brian’s opted for an anchor single-T pocket design with nylon webbing closure. This construction allows for a deeper pocket depth, making it massive and having tons of webbing to retain pucks. The integrated beveled thumb protection allows for easier closure, and helps direct pucks into the pocket.
Strapping
The ECLIPSE Goalie Catcher features Brian's Smart Dial System, allowing goalies to fine-tune their fit quickly and precisely. The twist-to-tighten design offers micro-adjustments at both the wrist and backhand, ensuring a secure and consistent feel throughout the game. To loosen, simply pop the dials upwards. This updated system replaces traditional pull straps, simplifying the adjustment process while maintaining a custom, locked-in fit.
External & Interior Material
The glove uses traditional jenpro leather with enhanced reinforcement on the fingers to protect against slashing. On the inside is high-density foam, which is used in most hockey equipment for supreme security in more delicate areas, such as the hands. Brian’s also implemented brand new Bri-Core tri-axle carbon-fibre composite in the cuff to make that area tougher and more rigid.
