The Bauer Vapor Shift hockey stick is a model that is exclusive to Source for Sports and features a low kick point, Twitch Taper Technology, 15K carbon construction and an EnergyCore3 blade. All these specs help offer players a stick with perfect balance of performance, value and durability.
Stick Profile
The Vapor Shift stick uses a low kick point. The low-kick point is positioned near the bottom of the shaft, allowing players to generate maximum energy transfer from the blade to the puck during snap shots and wrist shots. Bauer also used Twitch Taper Technology which is a new taper design that begins closer to your bottom hand to load shots sooner and recoil faster - resulting in a more efficient energy transfer and reactive release.
Shaft Construction
The shaft is constructed with a 15K carbon fiber weave from the tip to the toe. It is weaved into sections of the stick with Bauer’s high-performance mold process to achieve a true 1-piece feel.
Blade Construction
The Energy Core 3 blade is crafted from 100% carbon fiber and incorporates dual carbon ridges, which facilitates quick puck release with precision in any situation. The blade has also been reinforced, using a 15K carbon construction to further enhance the responsiveness and puck feel, allowing players to maintain better control and accuracy during gameplay.
Grip
The Bauer Vapor Shift has a standard clear finish grip that provides a mid level of tackiness. This stick also features a round shaft which is designed to give players a more natural feel in their hands.
Blade Patterns, Flex & Stick Length
The Bauer Vapor Shift Junior Hockey Stick is available in the following blade patterns: P28 and P92.
P92 is the best blade pattern for all-around play, with a mid-curve style. It is great at handling the puck in small spaces, including face-offs. This curve may suffer a little bit on the backhand.
P28 is a much more aggressive stick pattern, used often by elite players. This blade curve specializes in quick and accurate shots, but it can be a bit difficult to get used to since it is also very good at raising the puck.
