Intro & New Features
New for the 2025 hockey season, Bauer has released their new Vapor goalie protective line, and a part of the collection is the Vapor Flylite Catcher. Being at the highest price point, this catcher has many features that make it stand out as a solid and reliable catcher for goaltenders looking to take their game to the next level.
External Material
The Flylite catcher features a catchlite palm for an excellent combination of comfort, protection, and performance. The foam padding helps to absorb the impact of incoming shots, while the synthetic material provides a secure grip on the puck, allowing the goaltender to make clean and confident saves.
Break Angle
The catcher has a 60-degree break closure that is deeper, and allows for more full-hand closure (fingers to the base of the thumb) than any previous catcher in the Bauer Vapor line. It provides a good balance of coverage and mobility. The downward angle of the palm creates a large catching surface that can help goaltenders make catches on high shots, while also allowing for quick, fluid movements when making saves in tight. The angle of the palm is designed to align with the natural curvature of the hand, which can help to reduce stress and fatigue on the wrist and hand over time.
Pocket Design
The Flylite uses a double-T pocket design, which provides a large and secure catching surface. The palm is reinforced with CURV and rebound control foam with added DCT foam to provide goalies with protection from shots of all impacts.

The Bauer Vapor Flylite Senior Goalie Catcher comes with a regular catch hand option in White/Black, White, Black, White/Blue, White/Navy, and White/Red. Additionally, the catcher has a full-right option which comes in White.
