Intro & New Features

Bauer rolls out the new Vapor protective line for the 2025 season. The Vapor FlyLite shin guards are the top-of-the-line model and feature many important parts that made it stand out including a reinforced X-LITE shield shin cap, a full volume knee cap for deep and a secure fit, and a removable 2-piece comfort liner. The Bauer exclusive CURV composite material provides lightweight protection against impacts in key areas.

Shin Protection

The Vapor FlyLite shin guards continue to use the anatomically molded X-LITE shield caps, as seen on previous Vapor shin guards. This cap design contours around the leg for a closer fit, giving you better protection, a comfier feel, and a deeper fit. This innovative design keeps players protected while on the ice without restricting mobility and movements.

Knee Cap & Protection

The full volume knee cap offers an anatomical fit around your knee, so you can be comfortable and protected. The angled design helps keep you aerodynamic while skating, and the deeper fit keeps that feeling as natural and seamless as possible. The knee is also protected with DC Tech foam which keeps players protected and secure from impacts.

Calf Protection

The calf protection on the Vapor FlyLite shin guards is made using CURV composite material for a lightweight yet reliable defence. The integration of CURV composite provides exceptional impact resistance while minimizing added weight on the player’s legs.

Liner

The FlyLite shin guards feature a removable 2-piece comfort liner. The liner is removable and features a molded air channel and skate zone, providing enhanced airflow and ventilation to keep the player cool during gameplay. It also features a Thermocore Zero liner which is designed not only to wick away moisture and repel odour but also to allow for enhanced airflow, so you can keep cool and dry while playing.

Strapping

The calf strap features a dual lock strap. The adjustable strap wraps around the shin guards and connects to a velcro attachment that together provide players with a snug and secure fit. It ensures comfort and stability while you play, reducing the need for adjustments.

Sizes

The Bauer Vapor FlyLite Intermediate Hockey Shin Guards come in sizes 13” and 14”. Refer to the size chart or ask a gear fitting expert for any questions regarding the sizing.
