Intro & New Features
The Bauer Vapor FlyLite Hockey Pants are designed to be lightweight and provide players with maximum protection. This pant is engineered to provide the highest level of protection by using an AEROLITE hip guard and CURV Composite in the spine. The FlyLite pants are built with a tapered fit to allow for maximum flexibility while skating. And with the Thermocorre Zero liner, it is designed to manage sweat and odor while providing a cooling effect to keep players feeling fresh.
External Materials
The external shell is made of pro-level 840D nylon, which is the same material and grade that can be found on the HyperLite pants. This grade of nylon is highly abrasion-resistant and is one of the toughest fabric-weave combinations available. It is also very light for its efficiency and durability.
Thigh Protection
The FlyLite pants use molded PE and HD foam strategically placed for a close and covered fit. The fit on the FlyLite pants is tapered, meaning it is designed to fit close and with a lower profile. The inserts are also removable for easier embroidery or embellishment as desired.
Hip Protection
The hip area is protected and equipped with an Aerolite 2.0 hip guard. This is a continued enhancement that helps keep the hip area both lightweight and protected. Aerolite is Bauer’s lightest foam available, with tech that repels both impact and water. That water aversion helps keep the padding from becoming waterlogged and heavy.
Spine Protection
The Bauer FlyLite hockey pants feature independent spine protection, providing a range of motion without compromising safety. This design allows players to move freely while maintaining adequate coverage and support. The spine itself is made with CURV composite, a lightweight and durable material that offers excellent impact resistance.
Kidney Protection
As seen in the HyperLite pants, Bauer has added segmented kidney protection with a Flex Forward break to the new FlyLite pants. This protects the player and allows for maximum mobility and efficiency on the ice.
Belt/Lace Closure
The pants are equipped with a convenient wrap-around belt and side release buckle closure system, a design that allows for easy and quick adjustments, ensuring a secure and comfortable fit. With the side release buckle, players can easily fasten and release the belt, allowing for hassle-free dressing and undressing for all players.
Leg Zippers & Adjustment
The inner legs of the FlyLite pants have an enclosed zipper opening that can be used if the player prefers a looser fit in the thighs. These also make it easier to put the pants on for those that choose to put their skates on before their pants when getting dressed.
