Intro & New Features

Coming in at a competitive level, Bauer has released the Vapor Fly40 protective series as the next part of the Vapor line. These elbow pads come with low profile caps, a thermomax sublimated liner and a comfort anchor strap to keep everything in one place. They are designed to provide players with mobility, comfort and protection without compromising movements.

Construction

The Fly40 elbow pads have a 3-piece construction which provides players with protection and security in all important areas surrounding the elbow, and allows for great mobility while playing. Each piece is light and able to move independently based on your movements, while the strapping and 360 forearm help keep everything in place.

Bicep & Forearm Protection

The forearm has a 360 coverage design which offers total protection while being very lightweight. To go along with the forearm protection, Bauer added PE foams in the bicep with a sleeve-fit design. This design fully wraps the biceps and keeps them protected from impacts without sacrificing mobility.

Elbow Caps

Bauer has implemented new low profile ergonomic elbow caps, as seen on other Vapor models in the 2025 season. The durable outer material and comfort padding allow the elbow to sit in place when adjusted correctly, not allowing for any unwanted movements. The elbow caps low profile design ensures a snug and deeper fit, this promotes a contoured feel, allowing players to move freely and not worry about feeling restricted.

Strapping System

The Vapor Fly40 elbow pads can be secured and adjusted with the comfort anchor strap. The strap is designed to lock your elbow securely into the pad. With a velcro strap at the forearm and bicep, when adjusted to a snug fit, the elbow pads won’t shift, keeping the players protected.

Liner

The liner for the Fly40 elbow pads is Bauer’s Thermomax sublimated liner. Thermomax is amazing at repelling sweat and odour, keeping your pads fresher for longer. The liner will also keep you cool and comfortable while you are in your gear.
