The Matrix shin guards combine features from many previous models and incorporate them into a more affordable package to give players the best value in a performance level shin pad.

The Bauer Matrix shin guards are equipped with the advanced X-Flex shield shin cap, offering enhanced mobility and improved skating stride. The X-Flex shield shin cap features a hinged flex design that allows for a more natural and unrestricted range of motion while skating, ensuring that players can move with greater ease and efficiency on the ice.
Knee Cap Protection
The knee protection on the shin guards is designed with Bauer’s innovative ErgoDynamic Lab knee cap, which offers a deeper and more natural fit. This advanced kneecap design ensures a secure and comfortable feel while providing optimal protection. Additionally, the same shield technology used in the shin area extends to the knee, ensuring consistent levels of impact resistance.
Calf Protection
The exposed foam calf guard is designed to provide high-levels of impact protection while on the ice. It is constructed to wrap around the calf when properly adjusted and it holds a snug, yet secure fit while offering enhanced mobility, so that players aren’t feeling restricted.
Liner
Inside the shin pads, Bauer designed them to include a Thermomax liner, which is designed to manage moisture and keep players dry during intense gameplay. It is constructed with moisture-wicking material that helps to draw sweat away from the body and accelerate evaporation, promoting a more comfortable and odor-free experience.
Strapping System
The Supreme Matrix shin guards use the Dynaflex strapping system which can be found on many previous Bauer shin guards. Dynaflex is both tough and soft, which makes it able to give players max protection without sacrificing mobility and has elite comfort and anchoring abilities.
