Intro & New Features

The Bauer Supreme F40 Hockey Shin Guards are designed to provide unparalleled protection and performance along with the Supreme protective line for the 2026 season. The gear is designed to offer maximum protection against impacts, while still providing mobility so that players aren’t feeling restricted. This year, Bauer added some new features that make this line of shin guard a great option, including: a deeper knee and shin fit, and a lower profile calf guard with V-shape strap.

Shin Protection

These shin guards feature Bauer’s X-Lite shield shin cap, offering enhanced mobility and an improved skating stride. The X-Flex shield shin cap features a hinge flex design that allows for a more natural and unrestricted range of motion while skating, ensuring that players can move with greater ease and efficiency on the ice.

Knee Cap & Protection

The knees on these shin guards are protected with the innovative ErgoDynamic knee cap, offering a deeper and more natural fit. This advanced low profile kneecap design ensures a secure and comfortable feel while providing optimal protection. Additionally, the same shield technology used in the shin area extends to the knee, ensuring consistent levels of impact resistance.

Additionally, these shin guards feature a flexible construction to protect a portion of the thighs. The thigh protection is reinforced with HD foams that provide protection from impacts, while also being flexible so that players have freedom of movement, and won’t feel restricted while wearing these shin guards.

Calf Protection

The full coverage calf guard is designed to offer high-density impact protection, shielding players’ calves from potential injuries on the ice. The molded design with PE inserts ensures a high-level of coverage and a secure fit around the calf area, providing a comfortable and locked-in feel.

Liner

Inside the shin guards, Bauer added a removable comfort liner. This liner is designed to provide players with a level of comfort to help them focus on the task on the ice. It features a molded air channel and skate zone, providing enhanced airflow and ventilation to keep the player cool during gameplay. This liner also features Bauer’s Thermomax Sublimated liner, which is specifically designed to manage sweat and odors, ensuring a fresh feel throughout the entire game. It is not only designed to wick away moisture, but it also regulates temperature within the pads, keeping you nice and cool.

Strapping

These shin guards feature a comfort lockstrap, which wraps around the upper portion of the shin, under the knee to keep the shin guard and protection in place. It has a velcro attachment and landing so that players can have a fit that is tailored to their needs. To further enhance the fit of this shin guard, Bauer added a V-Shape calf strap, which helps lock the pad in place through a velcro attachment.

The Bauer Supreme F40 Intermediate Hockey Shin Guards are available in sizes 13” and 14”.
